On 1 January 2004 the municipality had a total population of 47,332 (21,282 males and 26,050 females). The total area is 7.22 km² which gives a population density of 6,551.32 inhabitants per km².

Spelling and pronunciation

Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is sometimes also spelled in French: Woluwé-Saint-Lambert with an accent on the first "e". Though the first version (without an accent) is the official version and the second version (with an accent) should then be considered as wrong, the second one fits more the pronunciation with a strong ending [e] (like at the end of "anyway").

Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is also often written in French: Woluwe-St-Lambert or abbreviated WSL.
