Umi, Fukuoka

Umi (宇美町; -machi) is a town located in Kasuya District, Fukuoka, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 38,545 and a density of 1,275.48 persons per km². The total area is 30.22 km².

The town has a river, the Umigawa flowing through it, a large Hachiman shrine, and some ancient burial mounds. (Kofun)
