The Honeyz

The Honeyz were a popular British based R&B girl group in the 1990's. They were initially made up of Heavenli Abdi , Naima Belkhiati and Célena Francina Alexandra Cherr . They formed in 1997 and their biggest hit, Finally Found was released in 1998 and peaked at number 4 in the British music charts. They were also nominated for the Brit Awards in the categories, Best Newcomer and Best R&B Act.

In 1999, Heavenli Abdi left the group to spend more time with her boyfriend Matthew Marsden and she was replaced by Mariama Goodman . They then re-released their album replacing Heavenli's vocals.

In the 2000, Maxim awards, they picked up the award for The Best British Girls Band, beating The Spice Girls, Hepburn , Thunderbugs and Eternal.

More recently they contributed on the Asian Tsunami Relief Single Grief Never Grows Old , which was written by Mike Read.

They have also recently appeared in the ITV singing contest Hit Me Baby One More Time
