Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis

Saint-Denis is a commune of France, in the Seine-Saint-Denis département, of which it is a sous-préfecture. It is an industrial suburb north of Paris, with a population of 90,000, of whom many are Muslim immigrants from former French colonies.

Saint-Denis is the home of Saint Denis Basilica and was also the location of the associated monastery. It is also the home of France's national stadium, Stade de France, built for the 1998 Football World Cup.
