Pastoral care

Pastoral care is a term generally applied to the practice of looking after the personal and social wellbeing of children under the care of a teacher. It can encompass a wide variety of issues including health, social and moral education, behaviour management and emotional support.

Pastoral care can also refer to the duties of the leader of leaders of a church that go beyond those involved in delivering services. These generally include various interactions with members of the congregation, such as visits to members unable to attend church services.
