Occupation may refer to:

  • the principal activity (job or calling) that earns money for a person (see profession, business)
  • the periods of time following a nation's territory invasion by controlling enemy troops (see belligerent occupation)
  • any activity that occupies an important portion of a person's attention (see fan)
  • the act of settling into of a building (see ownership)
  • the act of settling onto an uninhabited tract of land
  • the temporary forceful occupation of a (typically governmental) symbolic building, as a sign of protest
