Louis I of Flanders

Louis I (ruled 1322-1346) was Count of Flanders, Nevers and Rethel. He succeeded his grandfather Robert III . Louis I relied on the aid of King Philip VI of France to put down the rebellion of Nikolaas Zannekin. Louis was killed in the battle of Crécy.
