Living Latin

The Living Latin movement is a growing movement in the education of the Latin language. Supporters believe that Latin can, or should, be taught as a means of both spoken and written communication, rather than as a skill used primarily for translating Latin texts into modern languages.

Institutions offering Living Latin instruction include the Vatican and the University of Kentucky. The SALVI organization is a proponent of this philosophy.
