Category:Heretics

In theology, heresy is the holding of a belief that is in fundamental disagreement with the established teachings or doctrines of an organized religion. This category covers people known for their supposed heresy.

It is important to keep in mind that a person can be viewed as a heretic by one religion (i.e., Roman Catholics) but a non-heretic or even a martyr by another (i.e., Protestants). A good example is Rowland Taylor (b. 1510).
